Summer is almost here and we’re feeling the heat! With summer right around the corner, you’ll want to make sure your air conditioning is functioning properly for the hot months ahead. Manufacturers recommend checking your Climate Control Air Conditioning systems every two years – when was the last time you got yours checked?

To check your climate control air conditioning, this means we will evacuate the refrigerant gas, replace the lubricating oil and carrying out a system leak test.
As time goes on, air conditioning gasses escape causing your engine to vibrate, piping to move and rubber rings to expand and contract, this results in a leak. If your air conditioning isn’t being used (like in the winter months) the small rubber “O” ring seals can dry up thus resulting in increased leaking and a graduating wearing in performance.

As the days continue to get hotter, make sure to take note if your air conditioning in your vehicle isn’t producing as much cold air as you think it should be. If you also notice that your air conditioner is creating a funky smell in your vehicle, this may be a sign your AC isn’t functioning properly.
